Physical Communication will decreased by 2030

Post 4-

No one has ever realised how much time people spend on their smartphones by scrolling up and down checking messages and online status. The world has become a virtual society, where everyone is busy on tablets, computers and cell phones. People spent most of their time on social media sites watching and participating on social media pages (Cohen, 2017, para.1).  This extreme use of social media sites and other technologies not only leave adverse effects on the people’s health but also on their personal relationships (Cohen, 2017, para.2). In few decades, social media has become one of powerful media sources to connect people instantly. Being a powerful tool, social media holds a responsibility towards its users and power always does not mean constructive and positivism. Sometimes, it affects negatively on personal relations and our way of communication with others (Cohen, 2017, para.4). People losing their interest by interacting people in real life. They tend to communicate with them digitally. Constant use of social media, refreshing screens, loading status are some of the examples which occupied people attention. This continuous activity provides very short time people to do bodily interaction (Cohen, 2017, para.7).
It is very hard to predict how the future will mold in terms of personal relationships and communication. Hypothetically, today’s generation is so busy texting and messaging digitally that the loss interest in physical communication. In the next decade by 2030, it could be expected that social media will take place all the communication and decreased the warmth of personal relations (Cohen, 2017, para.10).

  1. This post is all about spending time on social media by each generation. There is no doubt that social media is affecting our lives because it is taking over the power and became a powerful tool. Excess use of social media is decreasing interactions with friends, peers, families and people spend their time on smartphones or other electronic gadgets but are not paying attention to their relationships. In 2030, due to lack of iteractions many other problems will occur in society.

  2. Hello Umbreen,
I agree with you that people prefer to spend most of their times on social media accounts because it keeps them busy and in virtual world, their online status matter a lot. They communicate in both ways publicly (Snapchat, Facebook) and privately (texting and phone calls). Both ways are convenient for them to interact with others in today’s world. But they do not realize that it is impacting on their personal relationships. There is no doubt that digital world is important, but it is also important to maintain personal relationships. Nowadays, people sit in front of each other but rather than conversating among themselves, they use smartphones to interact with others and that is impacting on personal relationships. Now they show their availability on social media sites that when are they available. But if we talk about 2030 the future will be different, It is just a prediction and we do not know will those changes take place or not but it is sure that there will be lots of communication among people on social networks but it will decrease their face to face interactions. I would like to suggest you a video that depicts information about future communication.
